        The short version: Small Universe is free to use. Play it, enjoy it, let your kids learn. Don't copy it or claim it as your own. That's basically it.
      

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Small Universe ("the Game"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you are a parent or guardian, you agree on behalf of your child. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game.

2. Description of Service

Small Universe is a free, web-based educational game that teaches English vocabulary to children ages 3-10 through interactive mini-games. The Game is provided as a Progressive Web App (PWA) and can be played in any modern web browser.

3. Cost and Payments

Small Universe is free to play. All 59 lessons, 17 game types, and 4 planets are available at no cost. We may introduce optional paid features (such as ad removal or offline access) in the future, but core learning content will remain free.

4. Age Requirements

Small Universe is designed for children ages 3-10. Children should use the Game under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We comply with COPPA and do not collect personal data from users of any age. See our Privacy Policy for details.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in Small Universe — including game mechanics, artwork, animations, audio, text, and the overall design — is the intellectual property of Small Universe and is protected by copyright law. You may not:

Copy, modify, or redistribute the Game or its assets
Reverse engineer or decompile the Game
Use the Game's content in other products or services
Remove or alter any copyright notices

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Small Universe only for its intended purpose: educational gameplay. You may not attempt to interfere with the Game's operation, exploit bugs for unintended purposes, or use automated tools to interact with the Game.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Small Universe is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive to make the Game accurate, enjoyable, and bug-free, we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet specific educational outcomes.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Small Universe and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Game.

9. Changes to the Game

We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of Small Universe at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain backward compatibility with saved progress, but cannot guarantee it across all updates.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Game after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
